I downloaded the Splashtop webcam for my HP Touchpad and it works fine when activating it for use from my home using the home wi-fi but when elsewhere when I have attemted opening up/turning on the camera(at hotels, work etc..) it states Can Not Connect to Computer. I enter all info required where I am at such as IP Address and Password and Computer Name as requested but still no luck. Is it not campatible using the HP Touchpad ??
Hi Michael, if you are trying to connect to your camera over the internet, the device that you are using to view the camera does not take ip address. You must have a google email account for the splash cam cam to see your camera. Let me give you an example, device 1 is the pc that is running the splash stream that has a camera. device 2 your hp touch which you will need to install the view the camera. If you are viewing your camera within inside your same wifi network, then you would put in the ip address on your view device 2 which is your hp touchpad. now lets say you are not at home but away, then you would need to log into your google gmail account on both the splash streamer device 1 that has the camera and also log into the gmail account on the splash view device 2 which is the hp touchpad. Please let me know if you have any questions? Thank you. jp
